Shiqi Chen

Shiqi was raised in Singapore and completed her undergraduate psychology training at the National University of Singapore. Shiqi moved to Australia in 2017 and completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology. Shiqi has also recently submitted a dissertation to fulfill the requirements of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) through the Queensland University of Technology.

Shiqi is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and has worked in the private practice setting for the last 5 years. Shiqi specialises in the treatment of trauma and complex adult mental health presentations and has extensive experience working with individuals with trauma exposure including emergency responders, veterans, individuals from refugee backgrounds, individuals identifying as LGBTQI, and culturally and linguistically diverse clients. Shiqi has completed additional specialised training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy and provides consultations in both English and Mandarin.

Shiqi is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists and a member of the APS Disaster Response Network.
